This is a 2005 portrait of the German director Christian Petzold. It consists of a long interview with Petzold, sitting in his work room, talking about his movies and aesthetics, his career and his background. The relaxed and concise interview is sometimes intercut with longer, well-chosen sequences from Petzold's films, illustrating and deepening an understanding of his directorial approach.
