Alida Valli (31 May 1921 – 22 April 2006), sometimes simply credited as Valli, stage name of Alida Maria von Altenburger baroness von Markenstein und Frauenberg of the Holy Roman Germanic Empire, was an Italian actress who appeared in more than 100 films, including Mario Soldatis Piccolo mondo antico, Alfred Hitchcocks The Paradine Case, Carol Reeds The Third Man, Michelangelo Antonionis Il Grido, Luchino Viscontis Senso, Bernardo Bertoluccis 1900 and Dario Argentos Suspiria.
